Many in Southwest Mississippi have heard the stories, and the legend of a Bigfoot-like creature lurking in the woods of Chatawa has traveled all the way to Sweden, inspiring an artist and musician to visit this part of the world.

2 killed on roads

Pike County authorities responded to two fatal car accidents on Monday.
A passer-by called authorities at 8:31 a.m. to report an overturned vehicle on East Fernwood Road.
Eric Brown, Jr., 36, of Summit, was traveling south when his 2004 Volkswagen Passat left the road and struck several trees.
