Man killed in 3-vehicle wreck

A Memphis, Tenn., man died in a three-vehicle crash in Lawrence County on Tuesday afternoon, the Mississippi Highway Patrol reported.
Gregory Millican, 40, died at the scene of the crash, which was reported at 4:34 p.m. on Highway 27 near Smith's Ferry Road north of Monticello.

Man gets 15 years in Christmas Night 2020 killing

A Pike County man was sentenced to 15 years in prison Tuesday for the slaying of a Jayess man on Christmas night in 2020.
Roderian Lakwun Williams, 25, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the killing of Johnny Smith in Pike County Circuit Court on Tuesday, the day his case was expected to go to trial.
