Pike men sentenced in federal gun cases

A McComb man was sentenced to more than two years in prison on federal gun charges Tuesday, and a Magnolia man pleaded guilty in a similar case.
Norkeithus Malik Reed, 24, of McComb, was sentenced to 27 months for being a convicted felon in possession of a weapon.

Medical clinic to open in Osyka

With a population of just 369, Osyka has most of the essential services — a school, fire station and town hall — and it will soon have a medical clinic for the first time in years.
Collaborative NP Health Care, 1081 Second St., will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. Friday, May 3.

Drax invests $250,000 in Gloster projects

Drax officials announced the creation of a $250,000 fund for projects in Gloster, where the renewable energy company operates a wood pellet mill.
