Codding touts city projects

Selectman Matt Codding spent much of Tuesday night’s city board work session seeking to make changes to planned city projects and tout some possible new ones.
He asked for leeway for board members to have more control over the scope of projects in their wards and to consider more extensive changes to Delaware Avenue for safety.

Full occupancy expected for new airport hangars

McComb-Pike County Airport officials are still on course to have tenants in the facility’s new T-hangars starting in March.
Neel-Schaffer engineer Garrett Smith told airport board members last week that the company is in the midst of performing inspections to prepare to close out the construction project.

McComb hires new city clerk

McComb will have a new city clerk on March 1.
The city board approved the hiring of Becky D. O’Quin to fill the position left vacant by the board’s termination of former clerk Rosezea Scott, who had held the job a little more than a year.
