$15 an hour to start proposed for MFD

New McComb firefighters could go from making $9 per hour to $15 per hour under a proposal being considered by the McComb city board.
Selectman Ted Tullos had initially brought the issue to the board and proposed a starting salary of $12 an hour after comparing what other fire departments pay.

City gets final bills for Ida debris

Contractors tasked with removing Hurricane Ida debris in McComb have completed the job.
DebrisTech LLC of Picayune submitted four invoices totaling $16,876, which the city board voted to pay last week.

City board OKs new 911 dispatch system

McComb officials agreed to pay for a $124,149 police and fire phone dispatch system that the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency will eventually reimburse.
The board approved paying for the AT&T system last week. The city will put up $87,864, while Pike County will give $36,285.
