Police hope to purchase new vehicles

McComb Police Chief Garland Ward asked city officials about purchasing two new police cruisers at Tuesday’s work session.
The Dodge Durangos, which sell for $33,198 apiece on state contract, would come from Kirk Brothers Sunset in Grenada. The board will vote on the purchases Tuesday.

City asked to rename street after Gertrude’s Garden

Gertrude’s Garden on West Alley in the Burglund Heights area of McComb may be the inspiration for a street name change.
Glenda Jordan, who has worked with Kevin Brown to establish the community garden at 113 West Alley, asked McComb selectmen Tuesday to rename West Alley to Gertrude’s Garden Alley.
