Local group holds Christmas Eve toy drive

A group known as Unified Community Leaders came together to brighten the Christmas holidays for less fortunate children with a toy drive at the Mahogany Event Center in McComb on Saturday.
Chris Hackett oversaw the 13th annual toy drive, which produced about 500 to 600 gifts for children up to age 12.

Ringing in 2023

McComb’s first New Year’s Eve celebration in recent memory will be held at the Bo Diddley Pavilion on Railroad Boulevard beginning at 10 p.m. Saturday and continuing into 2023.
There’s more to it than fireworks, Mayor Quordiniah Lockley said.
