Trischell Veal announced she will be attempting to run as a write-in candidate if the law permits her to do so in the McComb mayoral election June 21.
Veal filed to run as an independent, but city inspector Stephen Wall reported she only had 48 of the 50 required certified signatures on her petition to be a candidate.
