Big second innings

North Pike High School had big second innings in each game of the doubleheader at home Tuesday against the South Pike baseball team, and that was all the Jaguars needed for the sweep.

The Jaguars (16-1, 9-0) won game one 12-0 in four innings and game two 10-0 in five innings to remain undefeated in Region 6-4A action.

Parklane shuts out ASC 10-0

Parklane Academy did not hit many deep balls, but it did manage to manufacture runs each inning en route to a 10-0 win in five innings at home Monday night against the Amite School Center baseball team.

The Pioneers (9-6) put together a four-run third inning to gain some breathing room and take a 6-0 lead.
