It came down to the final at bat in the 11-year-old all-star baseball district tournament championship, but the Pike County American League defeated the National League 8-7 at Windsor Gay Youth Complex in Summit Tuesday night.

The American League will play in the state tournament in Mendenhall beginning July 8.

The Pike County American League 7-year-old all-stars had to win two games at Windsor Gay Youth Complex in Summit to secure the district tournament championship and they accomplished that task.
