Qualifying for McComb offices ends March 1

McComb Mayor Quordiniah Lockley is waiting for an opinion from state Attorney General Lynn Fitch’s office to determine the process for the 2022 general election set for June 21.
Lockley proposed having the Pike County Election Commission run the election at the most recent work session.

Mayor: Arrest made in cemetery damage

McComb police have made at least one arrest after graves were damaged at Hollywood Cemetery.
“I do know that the police department did a report on it,” Mayor Quordiniah Lockley said Tuesday afternoon. “I do know that they have arrested one or two people connected with that incident.
