Lawrence man, 84, dies in fire

MONTICELLO — A Lawrence County man died Monday afternoon when he was unable to escape a fire at his home in the North Pleasant Hill community.

Lawrence County under sheriff Willie Wallace said K.C. Young, 84, 128 Sills Ferry Road, New Hebron, died while trying to escape through a window.
