LIBERTY — Amite County supervisors have authorized applying for a $30,000 grant to purchase radio equipment to tie into a statewide emergency communications system.
Supervisors voted 4-1 to apply for the grant, which requires a 20 percent match from the county. The county’s share, the supervisors learned, will be about $6,000.
