Storms damage mall roof, spawn lightning strikes

Runoff caused by heavy rain that hit the area Wednesday afternoon apparently caused a roof drain at Edgewood Mall to collapse, sending up to about an inch of water into the mall.

Chamber president Jimmy Harris said the pilgrimage club and the chamber are sponsoring the first Magnolia Pickle Festival Nov. 6 in downtown Magnolia.
