BROOKHAVEN — Six inmates, including one man charged with murder by Brookhaven police, escaped from the Lincoln County Jail Monday night, Sheriff Steve Rushing said today.
Rushing said the men escaped some time after 11 p.m. by prying open a set of metal louvers over a window, removing the window and then climbing out.
