Evacuees began leaving shelters Wednesday and returning to their homes as Pike County continued returning to normal following Gustav.
“First Baptist Church will be closed as a shelter today,” Pike County Civil Defense Director Richard Coghlan said. “The Church of Christ (on Parklane Road) is already closed.”
