North Pike wins first round of playoffs 23-13

BROOKLYN, Miss. — The North Pike Jaguars had their best defensive performance of the season Friday night, winning on the road against the Forrest County AHS Aggies 23-13 in the first round of the 4A playoffs.

It was the fewest points that the Jaguars’ defense has allowed all year.

A long road trip awaits the North Pike Jaguars as they hit the road to face the Forrest County Agricultural High School Aggies at 7 p.m. Friday in the first round of the MHSAA 4A Playoffs. The Jaguars finished the 2015 regular season with a 7-3 record and a 3-2 record in the Region 6 District for the No. 3 seed.

Jaguars beat cross-county rivals 38-20

The North Pike Jaguars went on the road to defeat their local rival in the South Pike Eagles 38-20 on Friday night.

It was the final regular season game for both teams, but the Jaguars (7-3, 3-2) will continue on in the MHSAA 4A playoffs this week.
