Bears hope to keep win streak alive

The Southwest Bears football team hopes to cap off a successful Homecoming Saturday by picking up their third straight win.

In order to do so, they'll have to overcome a juggernaut known as the Jones County Bobcats.

Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. at John I. Hurst Stadium.

SMCC Bears’ soccer falls to Jones County, 3-2

The Southwest Community College Bears soccer team suffered a major blow to its playoff hopes Monday with a 3-2 loss to the visiting Jones County Bobcats.

Southwest fell to 4-4-1 overall and 2-3 in the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges South Division, and down to fourth place.
