Lady Bears come back strong

After falling to Holmes Community College, 8-7 in nine innings in the opener of their softball doubleheader on Friday, the Southwest Mississippi Community College Lady Bears came back with a vengeance in Game 2 for a 20-1, five-inning victory.

Lady Bears fall twice against East Central

The Southwest Mississippi Community College Lady Bears suffered double defeat Tuesday as visiting East Central claimed 2-0 and 10-6 victories.

The losses to its Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges South Division foe dropped Southwest to 14-14 overall and 4-8 in the division.

Lady Bears’ division struggles continue

The Southwest Mississippi Community College Lady Bears dropped a South Division softball doubleheader to the host Co-Lin Lady Wolves Thursday.

Southwest fell 9-1 in five innings in the first game, then dropped a 5-2 decision in Game 2.

The losses dropped Southwest to 14-12 on the season and 4-6 in the division.
