SMCC baseball sweeps doubleheader Friday

Darian Tunstall’s sixth inning grand slam was the big blow as Southwest Mississippi Community College completed a sweep of the Mineral Area College Cardinals with an 8-4 win in the nightcap of their season-opening double header Friday afternoon.

The Bears got a run in the bottom of the seventh to win the opener 3-2.
