The Hinds Eagles spoiled homecoming for the Southwest Mississippi Community College Bears as the visitors left Summit with a 40-20 South Division win.

The loss dropped the Bears to 2-4 overall, 1-2 in the MACJC’s South Division. Hinds moved to 4-2 and 2-2.

Fresh off a convincing 24-7 home win over East Central, the Southwest Mississippi Community College Bears hit the road to Poplarville Thursday to try and take down South Division foe Pearl River.

The Wildcats enter the game after a 21-7 win last week at Coahoma.

Riding the legs of quarterback De’Angelo Ballard and running back Jamal Hall, the Southwest Mississippi Community College Bears picked up a 24-7 South Division win over visiting East Central Thursday night at John I. Hurst Stadium.

The Bears moved to 2-2 on the season, 1-0 in the MACJC South Division.
