A seventh-inning rally fell just short for the Southwest Mississippi Community College softball team Monday afternoon as the Lady Bears dropped their season-opener to arch-rival Co-Lin, 9-7.
Co-Lin picked up the opening-day sweep with an 11-0, five-inning victory in the nightcap.
