Lady Bears split doubleheaders with Holmes

Southwest Mississippi Community College split an MACJC road doubleheader with the Holmes Lady Bulldogs Friday evening, winning the finale 10-5 after dropping the opener 7-0.

The Lady Bears took their early Game 2 lead in the top of the second inning.

Bears roll past Eagles in Meridian

Southwest Mississippi Community College led for all but 1:09 Saturday afternoon en route to an 82-61MACJC South Division win, their fourth straight victory, over the host Meridian Eagles.

With the win, the Bears moved to 12-1 overall and 3-1 in the South.
