SMCC beats Delgado 2-0 in opener, falls 5-2 in nightcap

The Southwest Mississippi Community College baseball team split a doubleheader with Delgado in New Orleans Friday evening, winning the opener 2-0 before falling 5-2 in the nightcap. The split left the Bears with a 10-3 record while Delgado moved to 11-5.

SMCC women’s basketball eliminated

The Southwest Mississippi Community College women’s basketball season came to an unfortunate end Wednesday afternoon in Clinton as they suffered a heartbreaking 58-57 loss to the Itawamba Lady Indians in the NJCAA Region 23 tournament.

Bears baseball falls at Copiah-Lincoln 16-6

It was a tough day on the diamond for the Southwest Mississippi Community College men’s baseball team as it dropped a 16-6 decision at Co-Lin Wednesday night in the opening round of the Coca-Cola Baseball Challenge presented by Powerade. The game ended after eight innings.

Southwest drops two to Co-Lin
