Two fawns pass through a yard in Dixie Springs last week. Late June through mid-July is the peak time of the year for fawns to be born in Mississippi, according to the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks, which strongly recommends human contact with all wild juvenile animals.
