Sleep in Heavenly peace holds build day

The Pike County chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a nonprofit that builds beds for children who do not have one, held its first build day Saturday at Southwest Mississippi Community College.

About 50 volunteers gathered to work in an assembly line to build 25 beds for local children.

City-county jail dispute continues with no immediate resolution
