Man gets 25-year sentence in Baertown shooting

A judge handed down a 25-year sentence Monday in an April 2022 shooting death in McComb.
Tyree Joseph Carter, 24, was sentenced to 40 years, with 15 suspended, for first-degree murder; and 20 years, all suspended, for aggravated assault in the April 27, 2022, shooting death of Jamorris Shaw, 25, of Magnolia.
