Helicopters, agents engage in pursuits in McComb

A day after McComb’s mayor rebuffed a proposal to hire sheriff’s deputies to fill in for the depleted ranks of the city’s police force, deputies descended on the city en masse, with helicopters and drug agents in tow, engaging multiple pursuits that led to arrests over a span of two hours.

In letter to city board, supervisors urge filling police ranks with deputies
