FCHS optimistic over prep baseball season

The Bulldogs open the year Monday night at North Pike, with a junior varsity contest beginning at 5, followed by a varsity game at 7.

MEADVILLE — DeHendret Collins surprised everyone last Wednesday when he signed with the Ole Miss Rebels.

The 5-foot-11-inch, 175-pound Franklin County native was targeted by newly hired Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze as the Rebels’ top defensive back recruit, despite his recent commitment to Louisiana Tech two weeks ago.
