LIBERTY — Amite County supervisors issued a burn ban Monday after a number of grass fires have damaged and destroyed homes this month.
Civil Defense Director Grant McCurley said three homes have been damaged and two were destroyed in January, and he asked that a county-wide burn ban be implemented until the Feb. 25 meeting.
