Two Brookhaven police officers died in a shootout while responding to a call about shots fired early Saturday morning.
Authorities identified the officers as Cpl. Zack Moak, 31, and patrolman James White, 35, both of Lincoln County. White arrived at the scene on 630 N 6th St. first, followed by Moak.
