Get shot: Flu season approaching

An estimated 80,000 adults nationwide died from the flu last year and 80 percent of pediatric deaths were in children who were not vaccinated against the flu.

This is according to Mississippi State Department of Health state epidemiologist Dr. Paul Byers.

Film focuses on local 1950’s killing

Barnes’ story is the subject for NMHS Unlimited Film Productions’ “Mississippi Justice,” the latest film concept from award-winning filmmaker Wilma Mosley Clopton.
