Winnie Len Howell’s efforts to preserve the railroad history of McComb began in 1975, marking the start of a series of lessons in patience and perseverance.

Howell, cofounder and director of the McComb Railroad Depot Museum, retired Tuesday after 18 years of volunteer service.

Mom called law on girls

Prior to Ericka Hall’s death, she told relatives about having problems with her two teenage daughters who stand accused of killing her, and had called law enforcement on the girls after they allegedly tried to run her over with her own car days before she died.
