My maternal grandmother, Maude Netterville, was born in the tiny community of Knoxville north of Gloster. When she was little, her family moved to a site in Wilkinson County where they had to cross a creek to get out. When it rained a lot, the creek flooded and they were cut off.
Later she married Ed Nash and they lived outside Gloster.
