Tuesday’s primaries will mark the first time Mississippi voters will be required to show a photo identification before they cast a ballot.
Since January, circuit clerk’s offices across the state have been issuing voter ID cards to citizens who intend to vote in this year’s election but did not have a valid photo ID.
