LIBERTY — Amite County school trustees unanimously voted to give their superintendent a raise Thursday, making his salary more in line with bordering superintendents’ pay but still the second-lowest in Mississippi.
Trustees voted 5-0 to raise Scotty Whittington’s salary by $5,000 to $82,765 a year, prorated and effective immediately.
