Storer sues former mayor

Former McComb Mayor Zach Patterson is the defendant in a lawsuit filed last month by former City Administrator Dr. Jim Storer.

Though his term as mayor ended almost seven months ago, Patterson is asking the city to provide him with legal counsel in Storer’s suit, according to a document obtained by the Enterprise-Journal.

Meter litigation pending

The McComb city board did not take action during a 45-minute executive session to discuss pending litigation with Siemens Building Technologies at its board meeting Tuesday.

Officials did not comment on which side is bringing litigation, nor would they discuss the nature of the litigation.

Motel tax tally revised by city

Voting in Tuesday’s motel tax referendum in McComb was actually more one-sided than intially indicated.

The tax passed 746-265 Tuesday.

However, after Wednesday’s certification process caught a mistake in the McComb National Guard Armory’s figures, the final tally stands at 750-166.
