City finances dwindling

It appears McComb city administrator Quordiniah Lockley’s Oct. 5 warning of a city budget shortfall may prove accurate in the near future.

His update on the general fund’s status at Monday’s city board work session indicated the city’s revenue to be $416,787 below its target two months into the 2009-’10 fiscal year.

Lady Tigers win 53-14

Perhaps the McComb Lady Tigers’ game against the Moss Point Lady Tigers should’ve been called at the opening tip.

The home Tigers jumped out to a 19-2 lead at the end of the first quarter, en route to 53-14 win over Moss Point on Saturday.
