Chamber gives honors

The Pike County Chamber of Commerce presented three awards to its members Thursday night at the organization’s annual fish fry at the Percy Quin State Park Convention Center.

The Small Businessperson of the Year award went to Alford’s Flowers and Gifts owner Trisha Ray, who has worked in the floral industry since she was a child.

McComb outlines paving plans

With about $420,000 remaining in McComb’s budget this fiscal year for street repair, city officials are pushing to spend the funds and pave at least seven streets before October.
