MS-Adopt a Hero will hold its third annual golf tournament, with proceeds going to buy protective gear for law officers, firefighters and emergency medical responders.

Elections focus of art project Saturday

An art project wants to make civics fun and encourage a few more people to get counted in the 2020 Census and vote in November.

Wide Awakes Mississippi will host 2020 Awakening, a free event open to all ages, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at the Pike School of Art, 1312-C Harrison Ave., McComb.

Youth arrested in Dixie Springs burglaries

The Pike County Sheriff’s Office’s investigation into a series of burglaries on the north end of the county led to the arrest of a juvenile and the recovery of stacks of stolen guns and valuables on Thursday.

Night patrol deputies received details on a suspect and vehicle in the case, sheriff’s officials said.
