WWII vet Moak hits century mark

In his first 100 years, Hughlon “Red” Moak made it through the Great Depression, fought in World War II, and more recently has weathered the COVID-19 pandemic and California wildfires.

“I’m doing pretty good. I’m up and about,” Moak said. He turned 100 in September.

Frazier resigns as McComb city judge

Brandon Frazier resigned as McComb’s municipal judge Wednesday after 15 years working for the city.

“It was just the right time. It was time,” Frazier said Friday of his reason for stepping down.

McComb Municipal Judge Pro Tem Jwon Nathaniel will fill Frazier’s vacated seat until the city board appoints someone to the position.
