McComb may be eligible for $5,000 to $35,000 in grant money if a railroad crossing at Nehi Circle is closed, a Mississippi Department of Transportation official said this week.
The funding would come from a grant program aimed at mitigating public hazards from rail crossings, said MDOT Engineer Stephen Edwards.
