The dollar amount of various homestead exemptions available in Mississippi hasn’t changed in at least seven years.
So with property values upped in Pike County’s 2008 tax reappraisal, those whose property was previously entirely or nearly-entirely exempt may find themselves disproportionately burdened when the tax bill comes.
