Winston Fortenberry defeated Ryan Bruhl on Tuesday for the Democratic nomination to the House of Representatives District 99 post.
Fortenberry received 3,323 votes (53 percent) to Bruhl’s 2,991 to get the nod, according to unofficial totals.
Fortenberry will face Republican Bill Pigott on Nov. 6 in the general election.
