Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and other law enforcement agents took down what they call a major player in the McComb drug trade during a Friday bust that netted six arrests and about 1 kilogram of cocaine and crack cocaine.

City puts halt on repeat rezoning requests

McComb selectmen on Tuesday accepted the city zoning commission’s June decision to amend the city’s land use ordinance in a unanimous vote.

The decision limits repeated rezoning requests after they have been denied by the city.

Selectman David Meyers was not present.

Wishes come true for terminally ill youth

Believe it or not, wishes are granted several times a year in southwest Mississippi.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation Mississippi chapter granted six wishes to terminally ill children in the area since September, wish granter Linda Spring told Kiwanis Club of Pike County members on Monday.
