There always seems to be a legendary deer that evades the best of hunters.
It becomes famous by giving you the slip.
Word spreads among those who spot such a deer either from a brief encounter or by capturing its image on a trail cam — when it becomes the main target and a ghost buck, if you please.

Wild times with whirly birds

Upon reading online news recently, I saw there was yet another helicopter crash at the base of Mount Everest, the tallest mountain on Earth, Oct. 29 while encountering a snowstorm.
Thankfully only the pilot was on board, and he escaped unharmed while attempting to help evacuate stranded tourists.
