McComb falls to visiting Holmes County Central

The incoming hurricane and the storms it pushed our way created less than ideal conditions for the McComb Tigers on Thursday night as the Tigers returned to C.C. Moore Stadium for a showdown against the Holmes County Central Jaguars. McComb put up a fight, but in the end came up short falling by a score of 32-12.

Parklane closes regular season with wins

It was a good night for Parklane basketball Friday after the Pioneers had two wins against Pontchartrain Christian.

The girls are 17-15 after a 68-32 win, and the boys are 19-8 after 60-36 win.

The Lady Pioneers held a five-point lead at 13-8 at the end of the first quarter.

Lady Tigers edge Lanier, 40-39

McComb’s Lady Tigers played a district game against Lanier High School Saturday and eked out a 40-39 win at home.

Lanier led 11-8 late in the opening quarter before Sherese Martin’s bucket plus the free throw following a foul, tied the game at 11.
