The issue of using radar to patrol the roads is being discussed in Leflore County, where the board of supervisors wants its sheriff’s deputies to be able to use it, just like Greenwood police officers and state troopers do.
Right now, state law does not permit sheriff’s departments to use radar to monitor speeding. That should change.
