Granted, the Republican-led U.S. Senate was unfair to Merrick Garland in 2016, when it refused to consider his nomination to the Supreme Court in President Barack Obama’s final year in office.
Garland was a highly qualified judge who deserved at least a full hearing and probably confirmation.
