City revenue falling

McComb’s finances need constant attention, Mayor Quordiniah Lockley said Tuesday.

During the city board’s work session, Lockley reported that sales tax collections are $95,000 below projections so far this year, and overall revenues are $311,000 below projections.

McComb selectmen split 4-2 in Tuesday night’s board meeting on a vote to purchase a baseball field adjacent to the MLK Center.

The vote followed a discussion in last week’s work session, when board members talked about the property and its $61,000 appraisal.
